VIEWS - The Kingdom of Bahrain

The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Riyadh

Views an exhibition featuring the work of over 50 local and international artists” opens today at Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel & Spa, March 10-25th, 2016. In collaboration with nationally recognized galleries, Views “aims to celebrate and exemplify the unique and diverse artistic community in Bahrain”. One of the international artists featured in the exhibition is Norwegian Anne K Senstad. As a multidisciplinary artist, Senstad works “at the intersection of installation, photography, video, land art, and site- and time-specific art. Her work is concerned with sensorial and spatial aesthetics, philosophical practice, and social-political awareness”. The exhibition will also be featuring art by Damien Hirst, Marc Quinn, Semaan Khawam, Resmi Kafaji, Rashid Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Modhir Ahmed, Sookoon Ang and Sebastian Bieniek.

Held under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

Organized in collaboration with the Bahrain Art Society and ArtBahrain©, ‘Views’ will present a selection of work from the Bahrain Art Society, Al Riwaq Art Space, ArtBahrain© and Albareh Art Gallery- each of whom have long played a pivotal role in the art scene in Bahrain.
